Ugg Store The Sustainability Commitments
2021
Set science-based targets
UGG said it planned to set science-based targets by 2021. Science-based targets are emissions goals that follow climate science and are meant to help companies cut greenhouse gases in line with the Paris Agreement. Independent reviewers later noted that Deckers, UGG’s parent company, has approved short-term targets.
2027
Reach more women through HERproject
UGG said it planned to reach 100,000 women globally through HERproject by 2027. The programme supports workplace health, financial inclusion, and gender equality. The target shows a longer-term social commitment, although the result depends on how the programme is delivered across supply chains and workplaces.
2027
Increase preferred fibres
UGG said it aimed to increase its use of recycled, repurposed, regenerated, renewable, and certified fibres by 35 percent by 2027. These are materials that are reused, partly plant-based, or checked against recognised standards. The goal points to a shift away from more resource-heavy inputs, but public reporting does not fully show how far the brand has progressed at UGG level.
