Audit critical suppliers
Mavi says it plans to carry out environmental audits at all critical suppliers and wet process sub-manufacturers by 2025. Wet process work includes steps like washing and finishing denim, which can use a lot of water and chemicals. The goal is to check environmental performance more closely in the parts of the supply chain that can have the biggest impact.

Cut hazardous chemicals
Mavi says it aims to make all strategic suppliers and wet process sub-manufacturers comply with the ZDHC MRSL by 2025. ZDHC stands for Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals, and MRSL means Manufacturing Restricted Substances List. In simple terms, this is a rulebook that limits harmful chemicals used in production.

Make denim fully sustainable
Mavi’s CEO said the company aims for its entire denim collection to be made of sustainable All Blue products by 2030. The All Blue line includes materials such as organic cotton, recycled content, Better Cotton, and upcycled inputs. This is a product-level target that would affect a large share of the brand’s core business.

Reach full supply chain traceability
Mavi says it is aiming for 100% traceability in its supply chain by 2030. Traceability means being able to follow materials and products through each step of production. The company links this goal to better oversight of sourcing, environmental impact, and supplier practices.
