Reduce water withdrawal
Estée Lauder Companies, which owns Deciem, says it aims to reduce water withdrawal from direct manufacturing sites. Its 2024 sustainability highlights say it already cut water withdrawal by 41% from a 2019 baseline, and that this exceeded its 2025 goal. The target is part of the wider corporate sustainability plan that Deciem is now aligned with.

Cut greenhouse gas emissions
Good On You says Deciem’s parent company has a science-based target to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in both direct operations and supply chains. A science-based target is a climate goal set in line with what scientists say is needed to limit warming. The rating also says there is not enough evidence yet that the company is on track, but the target itself is a formal future commitment.
