TSP ESG funds launch
The federal government’s Thrift Savings Plan will begin offering environmental, social, and governance funds in 2022, the latest sign of the growing acceptance of sustainable investing by retirement plans.

Mutual fund window opens
The ESG funds will be available in a new “mutual fund window,” similar to a brokerage option, for the plan. The window, which will include 5,000-plus funds, and will be run by Alight, will go live in summer 2022.
