Smaak Amsterdam says it designs and produces each product with care and attention, using high-quality, durable materials so bags and accessories last for years. The brand states that it works continuously to optimise production processes with respect for people, animals and the environment. It also says it works closely with selected manufacturing partners, many of which are small family-owned workshops, and that all factories are independently audited for compliance with social standards and fair working conditions. Smaak Amsterdam also works with the Leather Working Group and chooses production sites close to the source of materials to reduce unnecessary transport.
