Measured and published carbon footprint

Starting in 2019, Shine committed to measuring and publishing its annual carbon footprint, convinced that greater transparency naturally leads to efforts to reduce carbon emissions.

Launched Climate Act

Two years later, Shine launched the "Climate Act" initiative, inviting companies it can federate to commit to the same principle. More than 290 companies have already joined the collective.

Obtained B Corp label

In 2020, its proactive policy earned the neobank the "B Corp" label, which distinguishes companies that reconcile profit and purpose.

Joined 1% for the Planet

The fintech is a member of the organisation "1% for the Planet" and donates 1% of its annual turnover to environmental organisations chosen by its customers and employees.

Introduced second-parent leave

Convinced of its social responsibility, Shine is committed to gender equality. The neobank introduced the 8-week second-parent leave and published its salary schedule.

Built scope 3 carbon tracking

With the help of Sweep, Shine has built an accurate, dynamic, and comprehensive carbon footprint of their activities, and uses the tool to measure and analyze their carbon footprint and track emissions in real-time, gather detailed data from service providers and integrate it into their footprint, and set reduction targets and simulate different initiatives.

Created Climate Act collective

They founded Climate Act, a collective of small companies measuring, reducing, and transparently sharing their full scope carbon footprint to encourage businesses of any size to take action for the planet.
