Rich & Royal presents sustainability as part of its brand tradition, focusing on responsible use of resources, environmentally friendly processes, and fair working conditions. The company says its collections are largely made in Europe, mainly in Italy, Portugal, and Greece, with long-standing partner companies and certified production processes. Its materials page highlights organic cotton, FSC-certified viscose, RDS-certified down and feathers, and recycled materials. The brand also states that it has never discarded unsold pieces and instead resells them in outlets or donates them to regional institutions. It also provides care guidance intended to extend the lifespan of garments and reduce resource use.

Rich & Royal Sustainability Actions

Uses organic cotton

ORGANIC COTTON Less is more: Our organic cotton is grown using 62% less energy and up to 91% less water than usual - and 0% toxic chemicals. The cotton is grown under ethical conditions, using only natural fertilizers.

Uses RDS-certified down

RDS-CERTIFIED DOWN AND FEATHERS To protect animals: The feathers and down that we use for our products come from animals that are kept in ethically sound conditions. The globally valid "Responsible Down Standard" for down places particular emphasis on animal welfare.

Uses FSC-certified viscose

FSC-CERTIFIED VISCOSE Garments made from FSC-certified viscose were once a tree – yes, really! It grew in a sustainably managed forest, free from genetically modified plants.

Uses recycled materials

RECYCLED MATERIALS Already loved: These pieces were once something different and have been reinvented by us. Recycling wool, cotton, polyester and nylon fibers and giving them a new life is more sustainable than producing new textiles.

Produces in Europe

85% of our collections are created in Italy, Portugal, and Greece. We have worked closely with most of these manufacturers for decades and regularly visit them on-site. Many of them are family-run.
