Supported military families into work

RFS supports military families to overcome barriers to employment and wellbeing. It works with employers, the military community, and employment partners to help spouses, partners and veterans build sustainable careers and thrive. The company says it has supported 9,000+ spouses and created 600,000 hours of flexible work.

Delivered charitable programmes

Charitable programmes are delivered through the RFS Foundation, its registered charity. The foundation provides free wellbeing and support programmes, training and community services to remove barriers to employment, wellbeing and financial stability for military spouses, partners and veterans.

Launched Career Academy support

The Career and Coaching Academy launched in 2017 to assist spouses, veterans and Commonwealth candidates into work. It provides tools to develop, grow and gain confidence in the workplace, with coaching, mentoring, training and job preparation delivered in collaboration with supportive businesses.

Created flexible work opportunities

RFS says its military liquid workforce has created over 100,000 hours of home based flexible work for military spouses. It has also changed the landscape for flexible and remote working opportunities by partnering with brands such as Virgin Red, Rolls Royce and BAE Systems.

Published annual impact reports

RFS published an Annual Impact Report 2025-26 and an Annual Impact Report 2025. The reports set out the organisation’s impact, including support for military spouses, partners and veterans and the role of flexible, skilled and resilient work.

RFS says it is proud to be B Corp certified. As a certified B Corporation, it states that it is committed to using business as a force for good and that its approach goes beyond traditional recruitment.

Developed Op SPOUSE

Op SPOUSE is described as a nationwide initiative to strengthen Defence retention, readiness and resilience. It is delivered by RFS and is intended to equip military spouses with tools, opportunities and support to thrive, helping to sustain family stability and long-term commitment to Service life.
