Launched deli-style plant-based meats

Prime Roots is the first plant-based meat company to offer deli meats that are freshly sliced to order. The company’s proprietary fermentation and food science technology enables it to be the only clean-label, alternative meat company with an identical microscopic texture to meat. Prime Roots products are made without nitrates, preservatives, cholesterol, soy, or wheat and are lower in sodium than leading alternative meat companies.

Ran Earth Day sampling tour

On April 22, 2024, Prime Roots announced a nationwide sampling tour using a fully electric Cybertruck converted into a roving deli on wheels. The company said it was kicking off an initiative to give out 1 million slices in an electric-powered deli-mobile, with freshly sliced koji-meats served during the tour.

Became a B-Corp

Prime Roots was described as a B-Corp and said it is on a mission to satisfy meat cravings in a sustainable way with plant-based deli meat that is clean, nourishing, and a cut above the rest.
