By 2030, we are aiming to source 100% of our cotton product category through Better Cotton Initiative, with 75% transition to Physical BCI Cotton.
2025
Viscose sourcing standard
By 2025, Matalan is committing to only source viscose (and other cellulosic fibres–MMCF) from manufacturers that use high sustainability standards in producing Viscose & other MMCF Fibres.
2023
Viscose mills approval
By the end of 2023, our products that contain more 70% viscose will be sourced only through mills that are approved as using these standards.
2024
Viscose sourcing roadmap
Product Category 2 - 50%-74% Viscose Content – moving to more responsibility produced viscose by end 2024.
2025

Product Category 3 - 0%-49% Viscose Content – moving to more responsibility produced viscose by end 2025.
