LVMH Watch & Jewellery Australia Sustainability Commitments
2026
Remove virgin fossil plastic
LVMH says it aims to eliminate virgin fossil-based plastic from client packaging by 2026. Virgin fossil-based plastic is new plastic made from oil or gas, rather than recycled material. The group has already increased recycled content in packaging, but it still reported 7,400 tonnes of virgin fossil-based plastic used in 2025. This target is part of its circularity plan.
2030
Eco-design for all new products
LVMH says it wants 100% of new products to be designed according to eco-design principles by 2030. Eco-design means planning products so they use fewer resources, create less waste, and are easier to repair, reuse, or recycle. The group reported that 37% of Fashion & Leather Goods products and 69% of Perfumes & Cosmetics products met these principles in 2025.
2026
Environmental systems at all sites
LVMH says it wants environmental management systems in place across 100% of production and logistics sites by 2026. These systems are formal ways to track and reduce environmental impact. The group presents this as part of its wider effort to make environmental work part of day-to-day operations across its maisons and supply chain.
2030
Regenerate five million hectares
LVMH says it aims to regenerate five million hectares of habitat by 2030. Regeneration here means restoring or improving land and ecosystems that have been damaged or weakened. The group said it had already reached 4.3 million hectares regenerated, preserved, or restored in its ESG reporting, but the 2030 target remains in place.
2026
Train all employees on environment
LVMH says it wants 100% of employees trained on environmental issues by 2026. It has already expanded training through the LIFE Academy and reported that nearly 60% of employees had completed environmental training in 2025. The target is meant to make environmental awareness part of the whole business, not just a specialist team.
2026
Cut emissions from energy use
LVMH reports a target to reduce greenhouse gas emissions linked to energy use at production sites and boutiques by 50% by 2026 from 2019 levels. Greenhouse gases are the main gases that warm the planet. The group says it is using renewable electricity, energy efficiency, and better site management to work toward this goal.
