LVMH Watch & Jewellery Australia Sustainability Actions

LIFE 360 environmental plan

LVMH launched LIFE 360 in 2021 as its main environmental plan. It sets targets for 2023, 2026, and 2030 and is built around five areas: circularity, biodiversity, climate, traceability, and stakeholder engagement. The group says it tracks progress across its maisons with shared reporting and environmental correspondents. It also says the plan now includes a water strategy and supplier support to help partners reduce their impact.

More repairs and reuse

LVMH says it has expanded repair, refill, and product take-back services across the group. In 2025, it reported more than 10 million repairs, refills, and take-backs, and €500 million in revenue from repair and refill services. It also said it upcycled more than 314,000 meters of fabric and 9,000 square meters of leather. These steps are meant to keep materials in use for longer and cut waste.

Packaging with more recycled content

The group reported that 49% of client packaging used recycled materials in 2025. It also said 7,400 tonnes of virgin fossil-based plastic were still used in client packaging that year. LVMH has a 2026 target to remove virgin fossil-based plastic from client packaging. This is part of its wider effort to reduce waste and move toward more circular packaging.

Training employees on environment

LVMH says it wants all employees to receive environmental training by 2026. It opened the LIFE Academy campus at La Millière in 2024 as a place for learning and discussion on environmental issues. In 2025, it said nearly 60% of employees had completed environmental training, up from 38% in 2024. The company presents this as a way to build internal skills and support its sustainability goals.

Supplier support on climate and nature

In 2023, LVMH announced LIFE 360 Business Partners, a programme to help suppliers cut their carbon footprint and reduce water and biodiversity impacts. The group said scope 3 emissions (indirect emissions from the supply chain) make up most of its footprint, so supplier action matters. It planned Sustainability Business Partners Days and a shared platform to exchange tools, training, and ideas with suppliers.

Traceability work across materials

LVMH says it is improving traceability, which means being able to track where raw materials come from and how they move through the supply chain. In its 2023 update, it said the country of origin was known for 95-100% of diamonds, wool, and leather products. The group also said it is working toward complete traceability by 2026 and is using new tools from field to final product.

Biodiversity and habitat projects

LVMH says it is working to regenerate five million hectares of habitat by 2030. It reported 4.3 million hectares regenerated, preserved, or restored in its ESG figures. The group also described partnerships and regenerative agriculture projects in places such as Türkiye, Australia, South Africa, Indonesia, and France. These projects are meant to protect ecosystems and reduce pressure on natural resources.
