Looptworks Sustainability Commitments
2024
Expand recycling operations
As we continue to build out our facility to offer automated sorting and deconstruction along with advanced fiber-to-fiber recycling, we are working to ensure that our space lives up to who we are as a brand.
2024
Reduce natural gas use
We anticipate that we will go down to a zero, or as near to zero as we can get, usage of natural gas.
2024
Power ancillary operations
As our new facility comes online, we will harvest solar energy to power everything other than our high-ampage manufacturing equipment. This includes office functions and the EV chargers in our parking lot.
2024
Use solar for forklifts
We’ll also use solar energy to power electric forklifts, allowing us to move away from using propane.
2024
Increase hiring efforts
Over the next few months, we will increase our hiring efforts, as our initial textile recycling processes will require manual sorting of garments.
2025
Turn excess inventory into fiber
Looptworks offers a better path forward: turning your excess inventory into raw material for future products. As a textile-to-textile recycler, Looptworks is building the infrastructure and systems to receive and sort excess inventory from brands and mills, recover high-quality fiber through mechanical recycling, downcycle lower-quality inputs into shoddy and other industrial materials, and return recycled fiber back into your supply chain or release it into the circular market.
