Pilot the Purpose Pledge
Dr. Bronner’s is putting its energy into Purpose Pledge, an initiative it started developing two years ago with impact consulting firm Lift Economy and nonprofit One Step Closer. Twenty companies are piloting the initiative throughout 2025, and the pilot aims to define criteria for the pledge’s commitments.

Reduce emissions by science targets
The Purpose Pledge includes a commitment to reduce emissions in line with recognized science-aligned targets.

Reach climate positivity
Dr. Bronner’s says its published goal is climate positivity, or carbon negativity, meaning it hopes to capture more carbon than it emits through its business operations.
