B Corp certification achieved

In June 2022, Bassike achieved B Corp certification, a verification that a business is demonstrating high global standards of social and environmental performance. B Corp Certified businesses undergo a rigorous verification process every three years that measures performance against B Lab standards encompassing all aspects of a business, including but not limited to; supply chain practices, raw material selection and charitable giving.

Annual DEI survey

Bassike values diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in the community and workplace and the brand is actively working to support organisation-wide DEI so all stakeholders feel valued, respected and represented. As part of this commitment, Bassike conducts an annual employee engagement survey to understand the sentiments of the team.

Local manufacturing focus

Bassike is deeply committed to building long-term relationships with valued suppliers, makers and workers to help support the localised economy in areas they work and live. By supporting local makers, the organisation helps build collective prosperity amongst suppliers, vendors and their communities with over 90% of Bassike garments made in Australia.

SEMI supply chain screening

Bassike screens all manufacturing partners with its internal Sustainable and Ethical Manufacturing Index (SEMI) to ensure human rights are upheld throughout the supply chain. SEMI works with certified or published data to track the social and environmental performance of supply chain partners, and informs decisions made around ethical and sustainable manufacturing.

Renewable energy transition

Bassike has also transitioned to 84% GreenPower renewable energy across the organisation.

Blocktexx pilot completed

In 2022, Bassike completed a successful pilot program with Australian clean technology company, Blocktexx, to repurpose the company’s cotton textile offcuts from its jersey manufacturing factory. The recovered resources can then be reused back into the textile industry or into other industries such as building, agricultural and manufacturing.

UPPAREL partnership

Bassike is actively reducing and repurposing its excess materials to progressively reduce textile waste. Partners since 2023, UPPAREL is Australia and New Zealand’s leading textile recycling company giving textiles a new life, by providing quality clothes to Australian charities and driving innovative product development.

Support for women’s shelter

As a female founded business, Bassike proudly supports two organisations focused on assisting and empowering women. Bassike has supported the Northern Beaches Women’s Shelter since 2019, hosting an annual luncheon which has raised more than $550,000 to date (2026) to help their work protecting women in crisis.
