B Corp certification

In April 2023, Adopter officially became a Certified B Corporation. The certification process was rigorous, as it involved checks of all aspects of the business, from ethical governance, transparency, and customer service to environmental and social impact.

Signed Tech Zero and SME Hub

Adopter is a signatory of Tech Zero and SME Climate Hub. By becoming a part of the SME Climate Hub, it joined 1000s of businesses across the UK working to reduce carbon footprint to contribute to the United Nations Race to Zero campaign.

Remote-first emissions reduction

As a remote-first company, Adopter keeps emissions to the bare minimum and says real reductions in emissions are always favoured over offsetting. For the carbon emissions that are impossible to remove, it uses offsets from puro.earth, a certified platform for engineered carbon removal.

Published B Corp disclosure

Adopter says the B Corp certification process examined its impact on all key stakeholders, including the team, the community, the environment and customers. It also amended its constitutional documents, legally committing to consider all stakeholder interests in decision-making.

Adopter created the first UK GreenTech Accelerators & Incubators Map to help innovators and founders leading the efforts against climate change find the support they need to scale.
