Certified B Corporation

Young Folks presents itself as a certified B Corp and says responsibility is built into every part of the business. Its sustainability position covers environmental management, community giving, wellbeing, knowledge sharing, and partner selection. The agency says it measures greenhouse gas emissions, offsets unavoidable emissions, uses carbon neutral website hosting, servers and drives, and works from a B Corp certified coworking space powered by renewable energy. It also donates time and revenue to social justice and environmental conservation causes, supports diversity and reconciliation, and requires new clients and suppliers to align with its responsibility agreement and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Young Folks Sustainability Actions

Certified B Corp operations

Responsibility isn’t an afterthought around here. We’re a certified B Corp, so it’s baked into every part of our business from the ground up. Sure, we’re not claiming to be perfect, but we’re on a journey of constant progress.

Measured and offset emissions

We measure our greenhouse gas emissions via Workiva Carbon and offset any unavoidable emissions. We use carbon neutral website hosting, servers, and drives. We also opt for virtual meetings with our clients to minimise air travel, and if we need to fly, we’ll fly carbon neutral.

Paperless office and waste sorting

We work from The Commons Cremorne, a B Corp certified coworking space powered by renewable energy. Our office is paperless, and we sort our waste by single-stream recycling and composting.

Community giving and volunteering

We donate 5% of our time, skills, and a percentage of our revenue to give-back initiatives, including committing five percent of our time pro bono to supporting brand campaigns for social justice and environmental conservation causes. We donate one percent of revenue to 1 Percent for the Planet, to help verified charities protect the natural environment and support communities.

Paid volunteer and internship support

We run paid volunteer days for our team to help local organisations, and offer paid internships and traineeships for those getting started in the industry. We’re also members of ACON’s Welcome Here Project, and celebrate, support, and value diversity in all its forms.
