XTM Australia Pty Ltd Sustainability Actions

Joined Seamless

We joined Seamless because together we can help realise the scheme’s 2030 goal to build a circular clothing economy in Australia.

Supports Seamless mission

At BlockTexx, we support the mission of Seamless. Every day, we work to recover the raw materials locked up in clothing, as well as help design waste out of the system before it begins.

Separates polyester and cotton

Our patented technology chemically separates polyester and cotton blends and recovers two valuable materials: recycled PET (PolyTexx®) and microcrystalline cellulose (CellTexx®), which can be reused across multiple industries - including back into clothing.

Opened Melbourne fibre plant

Our Melbourne facility is the only fibre processing plant of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere. Capable of processing 150 tonnes a week of wool, jute, hemp, denim, cotton and even coconut husk.

Local manufacturing and transparency

We built this facility to change that. Here's what it's made possible: Versatility. Scale. Quality. Transparency. Climate impact. Local manufacturing + natural fibres = measurably lower Scope 3 emissions.
