Founding B Corp status

World Leadership School is a Founding B Corp, meaning it was one of the first 82 companies to join the B Corp movement in 2007 to “make business a force for good.”

Publishes annual impact reports

As a certified B Corp, and a registered Benefit Corporation in the state of Colorado, we publish the impact of both our travel programs and educator development work in an annual impact report. We measure impact on student learning, teacher growth, and many other areas.

Founded World Leadership Foundation

World Leadership Foundation, a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit in the state of Colorado, was started the year after World Leadership School. Since 2009, World Leadership Foundation has raised close to $3 million to support schools, NGOs, and other social impact projects in Africa, Latin America, Asia, and the USA.

Created TeachUNITED

TeachUNITED, which became an independent nonprofit in January 2020, grew out of World Leadership Foundation’s early work with rural schools. TeachUNITED is a scalable approach to improving the quality of rural education in Africa, Latin America, and North America. By 2023, TeachUNITED reached more than 2 million students and 37,000 educators in 20 countries.
