Carbon footprint assessment

Wopilo decided to realise a bilan carbone with Sami in order to take conscience of the proportions of CO2 emissions linked to each product. This initiative identified which products emit the most CO2 and took into account the whole life cycle, from the production of the raw material to the end of life of the product.

Organic cotton bedding launched

After the release of bed linen in GOTS-certified organic cotton in 2020, Wopilo also launched bed linen pre-orders in order to produce just what is ordered.

Recycled-fibre pillow filling

Wopilo launched the wopilo fair pillow, whose filling is made from recycled fibre. The filling is not 100% recycled because this is technically not possible; the GRS label ensures that at least 50% of the filling comes from recycled bottles, with the remaining 50% used as a binder.

Carbon contribution for Fair range

Wopilo decided to contribute to 100% of its emissions on the Fair product range. For each kilo of CO2 emitted by its wopilo fair pillows, the company pays a financial contribution.

Partnership with Inuk

Wopilo states that it is associated with Inuk, an enterprise engaged in renewable energies, to contribute voluntarily to the reduction of carbon emissions in France.

Project with Verrerie Midi

Wopilo chose to associate with the Verrerie Midi project, which combines renewable energies and agriculture. The project is described as one of the largest solar plants in France and the largest in the Var, and Wopilo says it is sensitive to the protection of biodiversity linked to the project.
