What do our labels mean?

Capral states that sustainability is part of its operations and that it cares for the environment and its sustainable future. Launched Sustainability Roadmap

Launched in 2022, the Capral Sustainability Roadmap is a grassroots program focused on engaging the hearts and minds of our people to encourage them to make more sustainable choices every day. The program currently has four focus areas Energy, Waste, Paper and Purchasing and will be expanded in future years to encompass critical areas aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Introduced LocAl lower-carbon aluminium

LocAl® is a lower-carbon primary aluminium option available across Capral’s locally manufactured extruded aluminium products. The LocAl® offer includes two lower carbon aluminium options: LocAl® Green with carbon emissions of 8kg CO2e/kg Al* and LocAl® Super Green at 4kg CO2e/kg Al*.

Implemented ESG management practices

Capral’s ESG Management Practices concentrate on biodiversity, water stewardship, and waste management. Every site has implemented hazard management strategies to address fire, flooding, dust generation, air and odour pollution, noise, and hazardous waste. A stormwater management plan has been established to ensure proper operation and site drainage management.

Capral is committed to responsible sourcing, and with ASI (Aluminium Stewardship Initiative) Certification, it says it is providing aluminium that meets rigorous environmental, social, and governance standards.
