What do our labels mean?

Unplastify is a social enterprise focused on reducing single-use plastic and addressing plastic pollution through design, education, innovation, and cross-sector action. Since 2017, it has worked with schools, governments, corporations, and other stakeholders to minimize plastic use and restore ocean health. The available material highlights projects in airports and other institutional settings, as well as collaborations on awareness sessions, solution design workshops, and clean-up activities. Its work is framed around redesigning systems at the source rather than relying only on recycling.

Avoided plastic in 20+ countries

Since 2017, Unplastify has helped avoid over 9,500 tons of plastic in 20+ countries through education, innovation, and cross-sector action. From schools to governments, their work empowers communities to shift mindsets and restore ocean health.

Airport plastic reduction project

Unplastify coordinated a collaborative effort to unplastify 14 airport’s ecosystem of +70 stakeholders (restaurants, retailers, VIP lounges and airlines). Achieved a 28% reduction in plastic footprint in 2025 from 2023 baseline.

Designed circular economy proposals

From waste management to resources administration: Proposals with a circular economy approach to improve the city´s waste management system. The project team conducted field research, analysis and mapping of the current status of recyclable materials flows in Buenos Aires including the informal streams, and developed short, medium and long-term proposals for the city to facilitate a transition to a circular economy waste management system.

Developed corporate team proposals

Together with Agua Segura, Unplastify developed a series of special proposals for corporate teams: an inspirational talk on the impact of plastics on water, nature, and communities; a solution design workshop; and a clean-up day.
