The brand said it offers a free in-studio polish service and can rhodium plate pieces for AUD$25 to help protect them from oxidisation, which is the slow reaction that causes tarnish.

Named its casting partner

Howlet said its pieces are cast at Palloys Pty Ltd in Sydney, which it described as part of Pallion and as a large casting house in Australia. The brand said Palloys alloys its own metals, which it presents as giving more control over quality. This is a supply chain detail rather than a full sustainability claim, but it does show where part of the production happens and who is involved in making the jewellery.
