The Impact Collective PDX has always managed its B Corp projects with an impact framework. It says the framework is a structured system, often expressed as a logic model or theory of change, that links a company’s activities, policies, and practices to short-, medium-, and long-term outcomes. It defines priorities, assigns ownership, and identifies how progress is measured and reviewed over time.

Functions as a management system

Its impact framework functions as a sustainability management system, directly satisfying the new B Corp standards requirement for a formal, documented system to manage, track, and improve sustainability and impact performance across the organization.

Supports B Corp storytelling

The framework also helps B Corps better tell the story of their impact to stakeholders, aligning narratives with key impact areas and painting a clearer picture of what it means to “use business as a force for good.”
