Taylor Stitch presents its sustainability approach through five pillars: Sourcing Responsibly, Building Responsibly, Closing the Loop, Creating a Community, and Giving Back. The company says it sources organic, recycled, or otherwise sustainable components, works with factories that share its environmental commitments, and aims to keep products out of landfill through durable construction, repair support, and a Long Haul Guarantee. It also highlights recycled packaging, deadstock recovery, and collaborations and donations that support causes and communities.

Taylor Stitch Sustainability Actions

Organic cotton transition

We’ve transitioned to 100% organic cotton for more than 99% of our cotton products, including our Essentials collection.

Sustainable material sourcing

We source organic, recycled, or otherwise sustainable components for all of our gear. It all starts with fibers and fabrics, so we work hard to source materials that meet our expectations without harming animals or relying on harmful chemicals and cultivation practices.

Non-mulesed wool and byproduct leather

For our collection of temperature-regulating, moisture-wicking merino wool products, we exclusively source non-mulesed wool. All of our leather goods are byproduct-sourced, and our partner tanneries have earned Gold certifications from The Leather Working Group.

Living wages at Hubo

In addition to our partners around the world, we operate our own factory—Hubo—which employs eighty sewing machine operators, pays living wages, and offers healthcare and benefits including maternity leave.

Recycled packaging materials

Conventional packaging is absurdly wasteful, so we use 100% post-consumer recycled fibers for our recyclable mailers.
