Published FY2024 responsibility report

Tapestry released the FY2024 Corporate Responsibility report in December 2024. The report says the company tracks progress on sustainability, social impact, and community work across its brands, including Coach and Kate Spade New York. It also says the company uses a framework called The Fabric of Change, which groups its work into four areas: products, planet, communities, and people. This is a formal update on what the company says it has already done, not just future plans.

Cut Scope 1 and 2 emissions

In FY2024, Tapestry said it reduced its Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 84% versus its FY2021 baseline. Scope 1 and 2 emissions are the pollution from a company’s own operations and the energy it buys. The company said this was mainly driven by renewable energy use in its own operations. In a later update, it said Scope 1 and 2 emissions were down 81% versus its FY2022 baseline, showing continued progress toward its climate target.

Reached 100% renewable electricity

Tapestry said it achieved 100% renewable electricity across its stores, offices, and fulfillment centers globally in FY2025. It said this came from a mix of tools, including a collective virtual power purchase agreement, which is a long-term contract to support new renewable power, and a 15-year partnership with Pivot Energy, a community solar company. The company also said it set supplier guidance for renewable electricity sourcing and plans to support rooftop solar checks for strategic suppliers.

Built circular product lines

Tapestry has expanded circular design work through Coach’s Coachtopia lab and Coach (Re)Loved. Coachtopia uses recycled, repurposed, or renewable materials and is designed for multiple lives. Coach (Re)Loved covers Upcrafted, Remade, Restored, and Vintage products, which extend the life of pre-owned items. The company also said it wants circular services or business models across its brands in major regions by 2030. This is part of its effort to reduce waste and keep products in use longer.

Invested in recycled leather materials

In 2025, Tapestry nearly quadrupled its initial 2023 investment in Gen Phoenix, a UK company that makes recycled leather fiber materials. The company said this raised its equity stake to 9.9% and included a three-year supply agreement. Tapestry said it is also exploring new materials and production methods that could lower greenhouse gas emissions linked to leather production. This is an example of a supply-chain investment aimed at lower-impact materials.

Verified volunteer progress

Tapestry said its employees completed 53,000 volunteer hours in FY2025, bringing the total to more than 303,000 hours toward a 500,000-hour goal by FY2030. The company also said the FY2025 volunteer hours were verified by a third party with limited assurance, which means an outside reviewer checked the numbers at a basic level. Tapestry also reported more than 700 team volunteer events and over 800 nonprofits and charities engaged.

Improved waste diversion at LVFC

Tapestry said its Las Vegas Fulfillment Center reached a 96% landfill diversion rate in 2025. Landfill diversion means most waste was reused, recycled, composted, or recovered instead of being sent to landfill. The company said this performance helped the site earn Platinum-level TRUE Zero Waste Certification, which is the highest level in that system. This shows a concrete operational step on waste reduction inside one of its facilities.
