Summum Woman Sustainability Actions

Manufactured mainly in Europe

The great majority of our clothing is manufactured in Europe under fair working conditions. We have a long-term relationship with most of our manufacturers, in some cases for over 10 years, and we don’t manufacture in countries that the Social and Economic Council of the Netherlands (SER) and Modint have designated as high-risk countries, among other things in the areas of human rights, safety and working conditions.

Uses European fabrics

The fabrics we use are predominantly made in Europe, and we consistently choose the most sustainable options there are: fabrics made with less water and fewer environmentally harmful dyes and chemicals.

Does not use fur or down

We do not use any fur or down. And we choose the leather that is sold on the market as a by-product of the meat industry.

Aims to prevent overstock

By using high-quality materials, we try to ensure that our clothing lasts a long time, so that Summum fans can wear our clothing year after year. We also want to prevent overstock through production on demand.

In dialogue with organisations

We remain in dialogue with various sustainability and fair trade organisations, to see where we can make a bigger difference and take steps toward a better future.
