Sterntaler is referenced in sustainability-related content through its association with Kinderhospiz Sterntaler and the Sterntaler e.V. project. The available material shows support for children and families, community engagement, and environmental activities such as tree planting and habitat-related work on the “Drachenberge” site. The content also describes an experience and education facility for children and young people, where sustainable and creative projects are used to make education tangible. No broader corporate sustainability strategy, reporting, or formal ESG commitments are provided in the source material.

Sterntaler Sustainability Actions

Support for children and families

During the 2024 Christmas charity auction, colleagues came together to raise funds for three local organizations: Frauen helfen Frauen e.V. Heidelberg, assisting survivors of domestic violence; the Heidelberg animal shelter, supporting animal care and protection; and Kinderhospiz Sterntaler, which provides essential support for seriously ill children and their families.

Tree planting at the Drachenberge

Our engaged colleagues have also this year again pitched in and planted a large number of trees and shrubs on the grounds of the “Drachenberge”. The tree-planting campaign is part of Otsuka’s ongoing Environmental Social Governance (ESG) initiative.

Community clean-up in Japan

In Japan, colleagues bring the spirit of community care into their everyday surroundings through the Chiyoda Ward CleanUp Day. By joining residents in cleaning streets and public spaces, the team helps create a safer, cleaner environment for everyone.

Volunteering with Pro Natura

Bucher + Suter volunteers joined forces with Pro Natura to protect Switzerland’s wetlands, removing invasive species and helping native habitats thrive.

Support for Sterntaler association

The Bucher + Suter team helped build walls at the Drachenberg adventure park run by the Sterntaler association in Bensheim. The park, inspired by legends of knights and dragons, promotes learning through experience for regional youth.
