LEED Gold building certified

Grounds For Sculpture says its Seward Johnson Center for the Arts earned LEED Gold certification in 2019. LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, a green building rating system that checks how well a building saves energy, manages water, and supports healthy indoor spaces. The site says this was the first Public Assembly project in the world certified to LEED v4.1 standards and the first such project in New Jersey. 1 Hotels says its partnership with Copia has helped donate more than 13.6 million pounds of food and serve over 54,000 meals through local nonprofits.
