Measured full emissions

In the 2022/2023 financial year, Spectre carried out a greenhouse gas assessment that covered both its own operations and its value chain. That means it looked at Scope 1 and 2 emissions from direct operations and purchased energy, plus Scope 3 emissions from wider business activities such as suppliers and transport. This was the first time it says it had done a full assessment like this.

Cut excessive overtime

Spectre says it focused on working-time problems in its operations, especially excessive overtime, which is a common issue in the apparel industry. It reports that it reduced cases of excessive overtime by 85% during the year. This points to an effort to improve labour conditions and follow working-time rules more closely.

Joined industry groups

In 2022, Spectre joined the Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC), a group that works on shared sustainability tools for clothing companies, and the European Outdoor Group (EOG), an industry association for outdoor brands. It says these memberships support its responsible business approach and sit alongside other existing memberships.

Expanded ESG reporting

Spectreco, a separate sustainability technology and advisory business in the source material, says it helps organisations connect ESG, financial, and operational data in one platform. It offers reporting against frameworks such as IFRS S1/S2, GRI, and the GHG Protocol, and says it supports audit-ready reporting, dashboards, and transition planning. This is a service offering rather than a product claim about Spectre Collection itself.
