Sky High Farm Universe is a mission-led brand founded in January 2022 by Dan Colen and Daphne Seybold to support and expand the work of Sky High Farm, a separate nonprofit focused on food security, food sovereignty, climate, agriculture, food access and education. The brand uses fashion and other products as a means of fundraising and storytelling for the farm. Its model includes a wholesale donation structure, with retailers committing to an upfront donation to purchase collections, and it has also expanded into food and beauty products. The wider Sky High Farm work includes regenerative agriculture, food donation, grants, fellowships and public programming.

Created donation-based wholesale model

We developed a wholesale donation model, where retailers must commit to an upfront donation in order to purchase our collection. This model has already raised around $550K for the farm in just over two years; every customer essentially becomes a donor.

Released Parley collaboration

Sky High Farm Universe and Parley showcase their first-ever, ready-to-wear collection made with Parley Future Material® — natural and biofabricated ingredients. One piece of the collection is made from Parley Ocean Plastic®, while the remaining four are designed with biomaterials such as Bananatex®, TômTex, Ponda and Nature Coatings.

Donated farm produce

Since its inception, Sky High Farm has donated 100% of the vegetables and protein grown and raised on the farm to food access partners throughout New York state. The farm began donating 100% of production into the urgent food system.

Established fellowship training

The Sky High Farmer Training Fellowship was inaugurated in May of 2022 and is a paid educational work experience for an annual group of fellows to receive training in regenerative agriculture focused on vegetable production and livestock management.
