Launched Project 166

Project 166 was sparked by Creative Director, Katie Kolodinski and CEO, Reece Rackley’s purchase of a 1,200-acre plot of land that was destroyed by traditional farming and logging. In 2022 alone, the team successfully planted 3,890 trees, built a living quarters out of a dilapidated shed, introduced bee hives to the land and launched two new camps in June and September.

Planted over 10,000 trees

Since 2020, we have planted more than 10,000 trees, contributing to carbon sequestration and biodiversity.

Supported Ukraine charities

Since the Russian war on Ukraine began in 2022, Silk Laundry has sought to support Ukrainians through our in-boutique flower markets. From Brisbane to Montréal, proceeds from every flower sold aid the Ukrainian charities, Masha Foundation and VET Crew. We are pleased to share that we've raised over $40,000 AUD as of June 2024.

Opened a pollinator garden

Silk Laundry's Creative Director, Katie Kolodinski, and CEO, Reece Rackley, are bringing a vibrant pollinator garden to Katie’s hometown of Thunder Bay, Canada. The garden will provide a sanctuary for local flora and fauna, fostering biodiversity and offering a tranquil space to relax for community members.
