Published first sustainability report

The S.OLIVER GROUP is publishing its first sustainability report for the 2023 financial year. With this publication, the company is marking a significant milestone on the road to greater transparency and responsibility. The report provides a comprehensive overview of the fashion group's sustainability activities, key successes and challenges, and outlines a clear plan for the Group's future.

Joined Fair Wear Foundation

In 2022, we joined the Fair Wear Foundation, Europe's leading organisation for the improvement of working conditions in textile factories and supply chains. At s.Oliver, we were rated “good” in our first Brand Performance Check from Fair Wear.

Published suppliers since 2020

Since 2020, we have published the suppliers we work with. In the future, we want to take that further and integrate the supply chains for all our products directly into the online shop. To do this, we have been working with the German tech company Retraced since 2023.

Uses more sustainable materials

A more sustainable product starts with the right choice of materials. We set ourselves ambitious goals to broaden our portfolio of more responsible materials. In our strategy for more sustainable materials, we have continuously been setting ourselves targets for the use of even more sustainable materials in all our products for several years now.

Created circular highlight products

We regularly create special highlight collections. They focus on several elements of our sustainability initiative and are driving forces for the future of our fashion. These include our circular 360° products, for example, or the New Gen Fabric Dyeing Styles, where extremely eco-friendly dyeing methods are used.

Reduced packaging materials

Wherever possible, we reduce the use of packaging materials to the minimum necessary. We use certified and recycled materials for all packaging whenever possible.

Supports farmers in India

With Empowering Farmers, we support Indian farmers in switching to organic cotton farming. By connecting directly with the farm cooperatives, we are laying the foundation for a traceable and certified supply chain. Through our local partner, the farmers also have access to training, cheaper seeds and support with certification.

Uses new dyeing processes

In order to use our natural resources even more sustainably and efficiently, we use innovative technologies for the dyeing process of our textiles. Thanks to these new generation fabric dyeing processes, we can eliminate water and environmentally harmful chemicals in the dyeing process.
