Ritual reports that it has saved 210.4 million MJ-eq of energy, 122.1 million litres of water, produced 11.4 million kg less COâ‚‚-eq, and used 4.3 million kg less materials. The company says this external verified research was conducted by the independent research institute the LCA Centre.

Third-party product certification

Ritual commissioned a third-party assessment of its products’ cradle-to-grave life cycle, examining all aspects of its supply chain to identify opportunities for improvement, including pathways to enhance ingredient choices and lower the carbon footprint of its products. The company also joined ClimeCo’s Certified Product Program and earned the Amazon Climate Pledge Friendly sustainably certified products badge.

Decarbonized product emissions

In its first year registered in the ClimeCo Certified Product Program, Ritual says its product sales increased over 80% across all channels and it decarbonized nearly 9,000 metric tonnes of carbon emissions by investing in clean U.S. wind energy projects.
