What do our labels mean?

Random Studio describes sustainability as central to its practice. The studio says it is committed to bringing experience and expertise in sustainable design to the core of its work, and aims to be a resource and collaborative partner for clients and the design community in the conversion to sustainable design. Its approach includes favouring local, ethically produced, recyclable or degradable materials, considering the life after a project, reducing the impact of computing, minimising travel and shipping, and using renewable energy for installations. In 2022, it became a certified B Corp and later said it was re-certified as a B Corp.

In our studio we work on lowering our carbon footprint in-house by critically evaluating how we work, how we travel and what we consume.

We have an integrated design and build process that favours materials that are local, ethically produced, recyclable or degradable. We take the life-after-the-project into account when designing and engineering the experience.
