Raglan Food Holding Co. Limited Sustainability Actions

Published inaugural impact report

We are so stoked that you’ve taken the time out of your day to read our inaugural report and what we’ve been up to over the past year! Whether you’re a customer, community member, supplier, stockist, or one of our crew, we are SO grateful for your support and the important role you play in our sustainability journey. See our 2023 Impact Report.

Certified B Corporation

We’re Proudly a Certified B Corporation! Certified B Corporations are businesses that meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose. The company became the first yoghurt company in New Zealand to become a Certified B Corporation, with a total score of 96.7, and lifted its score to 111.2 in its second audit in 2023.

Achieved Carbon Zero certification

We have worked with Toitū Envirocare, a government-owned environmental certifications company, over the past four years, gathering data about our operations and measuring our emissions in all areas of the business, including freight, fuel, and power usage. We had our first independent audit in July 2019 and received our Carbon Zero certification!

Became Climate Positive

In 2023 we decided to go the next step further and become one of only a small number of companies in NZ to achieve Climate Positive certification. This means that in addition to offsetting our total carbon footprint, we also contribute 25% additional carbon credits on top, and must demonstrate that we have active programs in place to assist with a social & environmental response to climate change.

Changed packaging materials

Recently, we’ve launched our Kids range along with our already existing Gourmet 400g range into FSC Certified paperboard packaging. We’ve made the change from glass to paperboard for our 400g range in part to create consistency across our gourmet sizes (our Snackable range has already been produced in paperboard since 2023 after needing a non-glass option for schools, meal delivery kits & export).
