QE Home Sustainability Actions

B Corp certification

Canada’s First B Corp Certified Bedding Company. More than an achievement, our certification is a promise and a responsibility: to do better by the environment, lead by example, and truly account for our impact.

Sustainability action plan

We’ve turned dreaming into doing by establishing a sustainability action plan, ensuring every aspect of our operations aligns with this commitment. From measuring our entire supply chain’s carbon footprint to setting reduction targets in line with climate science, our continuous sustainability improvements are by design.

Materials used in core products

We take pride in using quality, eco-friendly fibers in all of our core products. TENCELâ„¢ Modal and Lyocell products are described as water-wise; bamboo blend sheets and duvet covers are made with renewable natural fibers; Organic Cotton bedding is crafted using less water and chemicals; Linen Bedding is produced using less water and fewer chemicals; and recycled polyester products are made from existing plastic materials that are washed and spun into new fibers.

Operational footprint reductions

By analyzing the complete lifecycle of our products, along with all emissions (including Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions) generated, we’ve been able to set and execute on ambitious reduction goals. As a result, QE Home has dramatically reduced production emissions, minimized transportation emissions, eliminated single-use cardboard waste & most single-use plastic waste, increased e-commerce fulfillment efficiency, increased energy efficiency in brick-and-mortar locations, and diverted more than 90% of waste away from landfills through recyclables.

Supplier auditing

We also work with recognized third-party auditors to evaluate, monitor, and certify the social and environmental practices of our suppliers. This allows us to ensure all who work with us uphold responsible labour conditions and environmental regulations.
