PaperWise Sustainability Profile

PaperWise produces paper and cardboard from plant residues and agricultural waste, positioning its materials as a tree-free alternative for packaging, printing and copy paper. The company says its paper has a lower environmental impact than paper from trees and recycled paper, based on LCA, and describes its approach as contributing to a circular economy in which waste has value. PaperWise also highlights food safety, recyclability, home compostability and industrial compostability among its product attributes. Since its founding in 2015, it says it has worked with customers to give agricultural waste a second life and reduce CO2 emissions and tree use.
