B Corp accreditation

Our leading position in delivering sustainable business growth is reflected in our B Corp accreditation. We scored 111.3 out of 200 in the B Impact Assessment, making us the fourth highest-scoring private equity firm in Europe.

Carbon literate organisation

We are the first private equity firm to become a carbon literate organisation, achieving Silver-level accreditation. We have educated over 310 people in Palatine, our portfolio companies and our investors.

Carbon footprint reporting

Palatine’s 2024 carbon footprint is 45.6 tCO2e, which equates to 0.95 tCO2e / person. We have identified a route to net zero; however, in the interim, we have offset 46 tCO2e to achieve Beyond Net Zero through purchasing carbon offsets with Organic Carbon.

ESG framework across portfolio

We have led the way in the UK mid-market private equity industry, pioneering an award-winning ESG framework and successfully integrating our ESG programme across our portfolio for over a decade. Our comprehensive pre-deal to exit framework enables material ESG matters to be identified and proactively managed.

Impact Fund launched in 2017

Building on our award winning ESG strategy we raised a returns focused impact fund in 2017. Through this fund we invest in companies with the intention to create social or environmental change and, importantly, measure and report the change they are creating.

Sustainability Strategy implemented

We have implemented our Sustainability Strategy. The strategy focuses on three material themes: climate and nature, inclusion and diversity, and wellbeing and engagement. Under each theme, we have set objectives and targets for Palatine and our portfolio.

Renewable electricity in offices

We have also developed science-based targets for emissions reduction and are meeting the targets by engaging with our landlords to procure renewable energy. Across all three offices, our electricity is now traceably renewable and/or backed by a Renewable Energy Guarantee of Origin (REGO) certificate.

Impact management reporting

In addition to bespoke KPIs for each portfolio business, we also map performance against the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to help us achieve the greatest positive outcomes across the portfolio.
