Industrial hygiene surveys

In 2025, multiple Industrial Hygiene (IH) surveys were conducted across Mining, Power, Steel, Cement, Chemical, and Oil & Gas operations. These surveys were undertaken to identify and quantify actual workplace exposures, evaluate the effectiveness of existing controls, and define practical risk mitigation measures.

Supported OSH Code compliance

A key objective was to support organizations in strengthening regulatory compliance and exposure control strategies, in alignment with the Occupational Safety, Health & Working Conditions (OSH) Code, 2020.

Assessed workplace hazards

Key areas of focus during 2025 included respirable dust, silica and metal fumes, high noise exposure, heat stress risks, chemical and gaseous exposures, biological exposure risks, ergonomic risk factors, and the evaluation of engineering controls, administrative controls, PPE suitability, and medical surveillance linkage.

Applied hierarchy of controls

Mitigation & Measurement Approach: Application of the hierarchy of controls, prioritizing engineering controls, supported by administrative measures, task-specific PPE, and exposure-based monitoring to reduce health risks and ensure OSH Code 2020 compliance.

Promoted EHS practices

EHS was described as the backbone of sustainable and incident-free operations, focusing on protecting surroundings by identifying and controlling environmental aspects such as potential releases, spills, pollution risks, and ecological impacts, alongside health protection and safety controls.
