Set environmental policy

Optimo recognises our responsibility to the environment. We are committed to reduce our environmental impact and we strive to incorporate sustainability into our core business strategies so we will implement policies and procedures to ensure we are doing our part to protect and preserve our environment: Reduce, reuse and recycle; Purchase only environmentally friendly products; Conserve water and energy; Promote environmental awareness. Key policy aims include persistently monitoring and reducing environmental impacts, incorporating environmental factors into business decisions, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Reviewed policy annually

We will monitor and communicate performance by reviewing our policy annually and having regular meetings with staff to ensure everyone is contributing effectively. To measure our environmental performance, we will use KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators), and these will allow us to keep track of our sustainability progress.

Reduced paper-based processes

Stuart’s business was largely paper-based. This made scaling his projects a real challenge, especially with limited resources. We centralised and digitised Stuart’s documentation. Then, we mapped his needs against market solutions. After this, we presented options that he would feel confident using and that would scale with his business.

Supported sustainability forums

Danielle supported Hippo's new forum in their early stages by facilitating virtual whiteboard sessions for the whole group that helped with their ideation and scoping for sustainability initiatives they could implement.

B Corp certification process

We are currently embedding this commitment throughout our business through the B Corp certification process.
