Launched plastic-free gum

Nuud is a plant based, plastic free, biodegradable and sugar-free chewing gum on a mission to rid the world of the plastic gum that sticks to your shoe and outlives you. All ingredients in Nuud come from plants, not plastic – and are biodegradable and vegan. Instead of using plastic in its gum base, Nuud uses a sustainably harvested tree sap called Chicle, which helps gum to biodegrade naturally, just like a banana skin.

Joined B Corp certification

Nuud Snacks Ltd is a Certified B Corporation. The company was certified since November 2023 and earned an overall B Impact Score of 87.5.

Signed anti-plastic gum letter

The ‘Chew Plants Not Plastic’ campaign, run by City to Sea and plastic-free chewing gum provider Nuud Gum, has submitted an open letter to Steve Reed, the Environment Secretary. A complete ban on plastic chewing gum is the main subject of the letter, with campaigners voicing their concern that most consumers may not be aware that chewing gum is a single-use plastic.
