2025

Private label packaging target

Myer says it plans to convert its private brand product packaging to reusable, recyclable, or compostable formats by 2025. This is a future target, not a completed result. The company links this to its wider packaging work, including better labels and more recycled or fibre-based materials. Compostable means a material can break down into natural parts under the right conditions.

2028

Foundation strategy through FY24-28

The Myer Foundation says its FY24–28 Sustainability & Environment Program will support climate action that helps Australia move toward net zero. Net zero means cutting emissions as much as possible and balancing the rest. The program says it will make multi-year grants to organisations that fit its climate focus, and it does not accept unsolicited applications. This is a planned funding strategy for the 2024–2028 period.

2050

Net zero by 2050

The Myer Foundation says it aims to help achieve net zero emissions by 2050, in line with the Paris Agreement. It also says it wants to at least halve emissions by 2030. These are long-term climate goals for its philanthropy and grantmaking, not for the retail business alone. The foundation says it will use a portfolio approach, meaning it will back several different kinds of climate work at once.
