Certified B Corporation

MR MARVIS is now officially a Certified B Corporation. To become a Certified B Corporation, a company needs to perform an impact assessment that scores the business on various areas, such as the environment, communities and workers. MR MARVIS received points for a range of initiatives and policies including the use of environmentally preferred materials, setting high standards for working conditions, introducing ambitious carbon reduction plans, charitable donations and voluntary work by our team.

Produces garments in Portugal

Since the outset in 2016, the Amsterdam-based brand produces all of its garments exclusively in Portugal. All of them are situated in Portugal and most of them have been with us for a very long period already. They have all agreed to our comprehensive code of conduct, which ensures good working conditions and high environmental standards.

Publishes annual Action Reports

We have committed ourselves to publishing an Action Report every year. This is our biggest and most ambitious edition yet, packed with milestones, challenges, and bold plans for the future.

Repair and refurbishment

We gave 15,827 garments a second life through repair & refurbishment – saving them from ending up in a landfill.

Donations and voluntary work

Making people feel marvellous sometimes requires more than consciously produced garments. That’s why we work with different social organisations to engage in broader topics that go beyond the scope of our business. Examples are donations to charities and voluntary work by our team.

Co-founded B Corp Fashion Circle

We co-founded the B Corp Fashion Circle, promoting collaboration within the Dutch apparel industry.

GOTS certification obtained

The certification marks a new milestone in MR MARVIS’ sustainability strategy, with plans already underway to align its production with the latest environmental and social standards. The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibres.
