Switched to recycled bottle material

Asahi Beverages said that every plastic soft drink bottle in its Australian range now uses 100% recycled plastic. That includes brands such as Schweppes, Solo and Pepsi. This is a packaging change, not a full picture of the company’s environmental impact, but it does show a move away from virgin plastic, which is new plastic made from fossil fuels. The company described it as a major sustainability milestone.

Published sustainability pages

Asahi Beverages has created public pages on sustainability, responsibility, impact and environment on its website. These pages say its approach is built around planet, people and product, and that it wants to work with customers, partners and industry groups. The material does not include a full sustainability report or detailed targets, but it does show that the company is publishing some information about its approach and priorities.

Expanded APAC regional structure

The company said it combined its Oceania and Southeast, South and Central Asia operations into a new Asia Pacific regional headquarters from 2025 onwards. This is mainly a business structure change, but it matters for sustainability because it changes how a large drinks group organises its operations across many countries. The material does not explain any direct environmental result from the change.
