Created the charity foundation

The Mondetta Charity Foundation (MCF) was created as a way to give back to our founders’ homelands of Uganda and Kenya, with a focus on reaching children, the region's most vulnerable demographic.

Conducted social audit

In 2004, Mondetta conducts a social audit and third party verification, labour and ethics code of conduct as well as focusing on the importance of social responsibility within our partnerships and organization.

Switched to WRAP certification

In 2010, Mondetta switches suppliers from our established social compliance audits to WRAP (Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production) certification to help standardize the process and reduce audit fatigue.

Rolled out QA certification

In 2011, Mondetta rolls out Mondetta Quality Assurance Certification throughout its supply chain, ensuring quality control and transparency in our manufacturing process via customized audits and assurance.

Used recycled materials

In 2017, Mondetta/MPG implements the use of certified recycled and sustainably preferred materials for our products.

In 2020, Mondetta/MPG implements data management structures, and key partnerships like Higg® and Cascale to hold partners accountable.

In 2021, Mondetta/MPG implements ESG strategy and management, becomes a Certified B Corporationâ„¢.

Received Net Zero Contributor

In 2023, Mondetta receives Net Zero Contributor Certification.

Set emissions reduction targets

17% emissions reduction in scope 1 & 2 by 2024; 10% emissions reduction in scope 3 by 2024; 3.5-4.0% reduction in electricity & natural gas consumption by 2025; 100% of our Tier 1 & 2 suppliers’ risk assessment will be done by 2025.
