Minimum Wines Sustainability Actions

5% revenue to impact

Since the beginning, we have committed ourselves to always contribute at least 5% of our revenue to positive social and environmental impact.

1% to Paying the Rent

We pledge 1% of all revenue to paying the rent - reparation payments for living and working on stolen land.

1% to oceans

We give a further 1% each to tree-planting and ocean restoration. We’ve focused on two key areas of ocean health – ocean-bound pollution and kelp forest restoration – and partnered with two organisations that specialise in these respective areas.

Tree planting since 2020

Since our very first sale, we have planted one tree or shrub for every dozen sold (and every single 4L bag-in-box, too). Thanks to you, we've planted over 18,000 trees so far.

Organic vineyard conversion

In early 2017 we undertook to convert our 125-acre vineyard to organic, regenerative farming methods and began the organic certification process with the ACO. Our vineyard certification period is now complete so all of our wines from vintage 2020 onwards, are 100% certified organic in both the vineyard and the winery.

Zero sulphur from 2024

We made a commitment in 2024 to no longer use sulphur in our winery. Since 2024, we use nothing but wild fermented grapes, zero additives, zero sulphur.

B Corp certification

We received B Corp certification in February 2022, following a year-long process of careful assessment and auditing, which is required to meet B Corp's high standards of corporate, social, and environmental performance.

Packaging and waste

All of our packaging is 100% recyclable or compostable, and most of it is made from 100% recycled materials. In the winery, we try to reduce waste wherever we can. All of our spent grape marc is composted and returned to the soil.

Boxed wine packaging

Following on from the release of Days & Nights: 2021 Red Grapes, our brand new 4L boxed wine, we thought it timely to let you in on how and why we decided to give the box a go. The 4L box uses over 80% less emissions than the 5.3 bottles of glass.
