Sustainability strategy in three pillars

Our strategy is built on three core pillars — Environmental Stewardship, Social Impact, and Responsible Leadership — which provides a clear framework for measuring our progress. Led by our President and CEO, sustainability is championed at the highest level at Sharp and supported by our Senior Leadership Team who are accountable for each pillar.

SBTi verified targets in 2025

In 2025 the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) verified our greenhouse gas reduction targets confirming that our pathway aligns with the latest climate science.

Mandatory ESG training

Sharp has developed foundational policies which are distributed through Pathways, our learning management platform and are mandatory training modules for all our colleagues. They ensure everyone in Sharp is versed on key topics, such as cybersecurity, ethical conduct, anti-bribery and corruption, data governance and respect in the workplace, to name a few.

Eco Vision 2050

In 2019 Sharp formulated SHARP Eco Vision 2050, a long-term environmental vision based on its Basic Environmental Policy of “Creating an Environmentally Conscious Company with Sincerity and Creativity,” which was established in 1992. Sharp is working toward realizing a sustainable global environment by pursuing long-term goals set in three fields of action with 2050 as the target year: climate change, resource recycling, and safety and security.
