ISO 14001 environmental system

Livingstone says its environmental management practices are certified to ISO 14001, which is an international standard for managing environmental impact. This means the company says it has a formal system for tracking, reviewing, and improving how it handles issues like waste, energy use, and emissions across its operations.

Rooftop solar at warehouses

The company says it has installed 100 kW rooftop solar systems at its Turella and Victorian warehouses. It says these systems generate renewable energy on site and help cut electricity use from the grid. Livingstone also says two more warehouses are planned for solar installation later in the year, showing that the rollout has already started.

Packaging work with APCO

Livingstone says it is a member of the Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation, or APCO, a group that works on better packaging and less waste. Through this membership, it says it is improving packaging design, reducing unnecessary material, and using Australasian Recycling Label guidance so customers can dispose of packaging more correctly.

Third-party product checks

The company says all products go through third-party quality testing before shipment. It also says medical products are ARTG certified, meaning they are listed with Australia’s Therapeutic Goods Administration, and food-related products are HACCP certified, which means they follow a food safety system that looks for and controls hazards. Livingstone says this is part of its quality and safety process.

Ethical sourcing through Sedex

Livingstone says it is a member of Sedex, a platform used to share information about labour standards and supply chain practices. It says this supports ethical sourcing, responsible labour practices, and better working conditions across its global supply chain. The company also says it expects suppliers to align with its values.

Reconciliation Action Plan

Livingstone says it has an endorsed Reconciliation Action Plan, often called a RAP, which is a formal plan used in Australia to guide action on reconciliation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It says the plan supports ongoing learning, collaboration, and accountability, and that it is preparing a draft of its next-stage Innovate RAP for submission.

Workplace safety and inclusion

The company says it has policies and support measures for employee safety, wellbeing, and inclusion. It mentions a Domestic Violence Support Initiative for affected employees and says it promotes equal access to development, respectful workplaces, and representation across the business and supply chain.
