We aim to empower our customers to make informed shopping decisions that factor in the environmental impacts of products. Therefore we highlight product properties including selected material, third-party standards, and licenses through dedicated shop features.

Upcycled products offered

As a part of our efforts to promote a circular fashion economy, we offer our customers a range of upcycled products made from repurposed materials and then turned into new, one-of-a-kind designs.

Reduced packaging materials

We are continuously evaluating options to further reduce the weight of our poly mailers and were already able to reduce their weight by making the film thinner. Our poly mailers consist of more than 80% post-consumer recycled material, our boxes of 100% FSC recycled material. We feed recycled material from returned poly mailers back into the production stream of new poly mailers, thus closing the loop.

Reported ESG progress

In FY 2024/2025, we reduced our e-commerce operations' emission intensity to 0.74 kg CO₂e per order. This represented a marked improvement in our emissions’ efficiency from 1.31 kg CO₂e in the base year 2019/2020. Moreover, our Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions were 80.3% lower than in that base year. Lastly, we increased the percentage of our business partners with science-based targets to 70.9%.

Increase science-based wool

At ba&sh, we are committed to safeguard the welfare of animals within our wool supply chains, and will continue to engage with FOUR PAWS to seek opportunities for further welfare advancements. We aim to achieve 100% certified wool to the most robust animal welfare standards by 2025 date.

Verified live lamb cutting-free wool

Brands who sign the letter do not want wool from sheep who have suffered live lamb cutting, and they are either already certified live lamb cutting-free or intend to be by 2030. The letter directly calls on the Australian wool industry to enable that shift away from any type of live lamb cutting (mulesing).
